What is Lymphatic Drainage
Lymphatic Drainage massage stimulates the functions of the lymphatic/immune and nervous systems and is used to treat a multitude of health problems.
Each stroke is directed specifically to achieve the required result. Lymphatic Drainage may include gut work as most problems start with the digestive system.
Some of the painful and inflammatory conditions that Lymphatic Massage is able to treat are sinus conditions, headaches, bronchitis, constipation, sports injuries and related oedemas and post trauma (surgical, accident, illness) conditions.
The lymphatic system is a vesicular system, similar in structure to the circulatory system, although unlike the circulatory system which has the heart to pump the blood around, the lymphatic system relies on muscle movement to pump the lymph around our bodies.

Lymphatic Drainage massage is about assisting fluid return. Massage strokes are slower and specifically channelled in the direction of lymphatic flow.
